I photographed this bird on November 9, 2025 at the Jackman Wetlands in Aldergrove, BC.

It appears to be Wigeon but the neck length, head shape, and bill shape appear to be something else. Maybe Pintail? The bird's neck was this length as it was swimming around, not just a momentary extension. I was not able to see the hook on the end of the bill and the head seems more round than Wigeon.

Is this a hybrid of some sort, or is it within the range of variation for Wigeon?
